FeedKit Privacy Policy

FeedKit is a browser extension that lets you customize your Facebook feed. It is built to be private by design: FeedKit does not collect, store on remote servers, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Ever.

What FeedKit does with data

• Settings(your toggles, filters, rules and theme) are stored in your browser's extension storage. If you are signed into your browser and have sync enabled, your browser may sync them across your own devices — that syncing is performed by your browser vendor, not by FeedKit.
• Usage statistics (minutes spent on Facebook, posts scrolled, posts hidden) are computed and stored only on your device, in local extension storage. They never leave your browser and are deleted if you uninstall the extension.
• Page content — FeedKit reads the Facebook page you are viewing solely to hide or restyle the elements you asked it to. This processing happens entirely inside your browser tab. Nothing about your feed, posts, friends or messages is recorded or transmitted.

What FeedKit never does

• No collection of browsing history
• No uploading of feed or profile content
• No analytics, telemetry or tracking of any kind
• No ads, no data sales, no third-party sharing
• No accounts — FeedKit has no server and requires no sign-up

Optional AI features

FeedKit includes optional AI features that are off by default. If you choose to enable them, you must provide your own API key for a provider you select (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenRouter). Only then, and only for the specific content you ask to be processed, is that content sent directly from your browser to your chosen provider under their terms and privacy policy. Your API key is stored in your browser's extension storage and is never sent anywhere else.

Permissions

• facebook.com access — required to modify the feed on the pages you visit
• storage — required to save your settings locally
• tabs & alarms — required so the daily time limit can find your Facebook tabs and check the time

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "last updated" date. Because FeedKit collects nothing, any future change could only make that commitment more explicit, not less.
